Canada

A “hidden” gem that tends to attract less attention than its neighbor to the south, Canada offers unbelievably beautiful natural scenery, all-season outdoors adventures, a unique collection of dynamic cities, and fantastic fresh seafood.

Everyone’s perfect trip looks a little different.

We’ll design your itinerary around you (learn about our process), but to whet your appetite here’s a sample of what you can experience on a bespoke Canada adventure with us.

Sample Trip: The Charming Atlantic Provinces.

Day 1. Arrive into historic Halifax and transfer to your accommodations. Start your adventure by exploring the city’s burgeoning gastronomic scene (The Lord Nelson Hotel).

Day 2. Spend the morning with your private guide as you explore the iconic lighthouse at Peggy's Cove, as well as a treasure trove of seaside views and traditional fishing village architecture. This afternoon enjoy a hike across varied rocky terrain shaped by glaciers 12,000 years ago.

Day 3. Begin your driving adventure and head to the south shore of Nova Scotia, stopping to visit its charming coastal towns of Mahone Bay, Chester and Hubbards along the way (Juniper Hill on Rose Bay).

Day 4. Embark on a private walking tour of Lunenburg with a colorful character and learn the story of this shipbuilding town. Chat with the fishermen as they bring in the evening catch, just a five-minute walk from your accommodation.

Day 5. Spend the day driving through Nova Scotia's wine region and sampling the signature grape varietal, L'Acadie Blanc. Your ultimate goal today is southern New Brunswick where you’ll spend a few nights glamping (Ridgeback Lodge).

Day 6. Change your perspective today as you grab a paddle and kayak through some of the most spectacular coastal formations in Eastern Canada. Experience the world's highest tides, and truly understand how the land and sea are knitted together for New Brunswickers.

Day 7. Set out by motorboat to the curious Fundy Isle of Campobello, once the summer home of the Roosevelts. Do a bit of beach combing and lighthouse ogling before heading back to the mainland for a sunset dinner in the spectacular sea caves at St. Martins (tides permitting).

Day 8. Today you'll hit the road to Prince Edward Island. The Confederation Bridge takes you across to Charlottetown, then onwards to Bay Fortune to one of Atlantic Canada's most acclaimed lodges (Inn At Bay Fortune).

Day 9. A day of quintessential PEI experiences: spend the morning at Green Gables, have a picnic on a red sand beach, soak in some of the warmest waters on the Atlantic, and end the day with an incredible lobster dinner.

Day 10. Explore the island tip-to-tip along the Confederate Trail, or take in just a bit: the eastern coastal portion is particularly breathtaking, where you can take a dip at Souris Beach Provincial Park. This evening enjoy a spectacular multi-course chef’s dinner highlighting seasonal specialities.

Day 11. Leaving one island behind for another, take the ferry back to Nova Scotia and drive onto Cape Breton. The Cabot Trail is perhaps the most stunning drive in Canada, and you'll experience it over three leisurely days and nights (Cabot Links Resort).

Day 12. You may wish to begin with a round of golf at the on-site World Top 100 course, then hit the road and drive your first half of the Cabot Trail. Head inland through the Bras D'Or lake region then up through charming villages such as Ingonish. Follow the road all the way to the top, where you spend the night under the stars in a dome (Blue Bayou Resort).

Day 13. Take a morning hike on the Wilkie Sugar Loaf trail before setting out again. The eastern portion of the Cabot Trail is the most dramatic with cliffs and sea vistas. If you're itching to cycle, Pleasant Bay to Margaree Harbour is a real rush (Cabot Links Resort).

Day 14. It wouldn't be a Maritimes experience if you didn't get out on a boat, and this morning you'll board a local vessel in search of Bluefin tuna, of which Nova Scotia has some of the highest concentrations in the world. This sets you up nicely for the afternoon drive back to Halifax for departure.
